To provide information and skills to enable practitioners to effectively support children with speech, language and communication needs

Target group - All EY providers (this is for practitioners who already have a good understanding of early speech and language development).

Objectives

By the end of the training participants will:



  •  Have increased their understanding of typical language development.

  •  Be able to identify possible reasons why a child might be finding learning, language and communication difficult, and use a range of skills and strategies to support young children with speech, language and communication difficulties in their everyday setting
