Course aim
To effectively use the tools and functionality within the EYTT to identify and track children’s well-being, patterns of attendance during the Covid restrictions and gaps within the Development Matters outcomes.

Target group - Managers of settings or schools and practitioners involved in data entry and analysing trends in the early years.

Pre-course Information
The EYTT (Early Years Tracking Tool) is updated each year to incorporate new features. The changes for the academic year 2020/2021 focus on the importance of monitoring well-being and also being able to track and record next steps of development, well-being and attendance in light of the ongoing Covid restrictions.


By the end of the training participants will be able to:

• Understand and use the new functionality for recording well-being & involvement
• Understand how the data entry columns can be customised to track attendance patterns and concerns
• Record and monitor Development Matters age bands
• Interpret the data to produce actions and next steps for individuals and the setting
• Have an understanding of the new Ofsted Framework and how this relates to data
