To enable committee members/trustees to understand their statutory roles and responsibilities as a registered charity and childcare provider and how to lead an effective and successful committee-led setting.

The training will be delivered via Zoom. The joining instructions will be sent near the date of the training
Objectives

By the end of the training participants will be able to:



  • Understand a Committee Member's/Trustee's responsibilities with regard to the Charities Commission, including the role of the Chair, Treasurer and Secretary

  • Understand their statutory duty to comply with the Early Years Foundation Stage (2020) as set out in the 'Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage' (Welfare Requirements) (2020).

  • Understand their statutory duty as employers (including basic Health and Safety and Employmenyt Law)

  • Understand basic safeguarding processes with the importance of embedded safeguarding practice.
