Objectives
By the end ofthe training participants will have:
• been inspired to help create ‘a love of books’ in their setting
• recognised the importance of early language in developing skills for reading
• learnt effective strategies to use when sharing books with children, including dialogic book talk
• reflected on relevant research
• had the opportunity to audit their current provision for early reading
• considered how to engage parents in sharing books with children
